A murder investigation has been launched after a man died after being stabbed in Hereford city centre.
Robert Eacock, 33, from the city, was attacked in Commercial Street on Monday afternoon. He later died in hospital.
West Mercia Police said of four people arrested over the death on Monday, three have been released while inquiries continue and one has been released without charge.
A further man arrested is being held on suspicion of assisting an offender.
The force said a man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a man and woman on suspicion of attempting to pervert the course of justice have been released under investigation.
Another man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder was released with no further action.
Supt Sue Thomas has urged anyone with information to contact the force.
“These are tragic circumstances and my thoughts are with the family and friends of the man at this time. I would strongly urge anyone with information to contact police,” she said.
“A cordon remains in place around where the incident happened and there will be a heavy police presence in the area.”
