A man injured in a crash has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman’s body was found in Hereford.
The woman, in her 50s, was discovered by officers at a property in Highmore Street at about 22:20 GMT on Tuesday.
The arrested man, a 40-year-old from Hereford, was hit by a van at about 18:00 on the same day, West Mercia Police said.
Formal identification of the victim has yet to take place, but her next of kin have been informed.

Officers said they were working to establish the circumstances of both the death and the crash on Roman Road.
Supt Sue Thomas said: “We are treating this as an isolated incident, but would still like to speak to anyone with any information which could help us – even if the information may seem insignificant.”
